Hey bestie, and happy (what day is it?!??!!) Sunday!!! I am currently on the high-speed train to Aix-en-Provence coming from Paris, where I just spent the last week learning so much about the romantic period- specifically Debussy, who means so much to us flute players!
But, before we get into that, I want to turn the clocks way back to my first week in Europe, where I began in Berlin. You can read my full recap of my time in Berlin here on my Substack, but for my paid-subscribers, I want to share more in-depth of what I learned from my time in Berlin, and more importantly, how what I experienced in Berlin will shape my playing going forward. I’m going to do a post like this for my paid-subscribers from each country, especially the countries that I’m taking lessons in, so keep an eye out for that!!!
BUT, before we get into all of that…. Let’s start with Berlin, where I focused on piccolo, Vivaldi, and learning from the Berlin Philharmonic!!
